Stellenbosch Flight Academy
The Stellenbosch Flight Academy (SFA) is a specialist flight training institution focusing on advanced flight and ground training for General Aviation Professional and Private pilots. At the heart of our training facility is our modern Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD or Simulator) that is certified to the JAR and SA-CAA-FSTD A for Flight Navigation and Procedural Training Level II (FNPT II MCC) standard. We now offer the following services on our FNPTII (MCC) Simulator:
Preparation for Initial ATP Skills Test
- Refresher Training for IR Revalidation Tests
- Annual ATP or CPL IR Revalidation Skills Test
- Multi Crew Coordination (MCC) Training and Certfication
- GNSS/RNAV Training and Cerfification
Do not let your ATP lapse… airlines are unlikely to interview you without a valid licence!
Our facility is a cost effective alternate to keep your ATP valid. Your test will be done on a C425 Conquest (Turboprop) simulator model and as you may be unfamiliar with this aircraft type, we recommend that you come and do a familiarisation session or two before the test.
You will also require a co-pilot for the test – you may bring your own or we will supply one that is already familiar with the C425 at a nominal fee. We will also provide you with cockpit layout, QRH, checklists and other operating and performance documentation when you make your booking.
Our rates are really cost effective and significantly below the costs of a Level D Simulator or the aircraft.
(Our rate, excluding the instructor for refresher or DFE for the test, is only R1200 per hour)
