Course Content
This course is desgned according to the practical requirements of the SA CAA CAR 61.07.1 and applicable CATS. The course focusses on the following elements:
Simulator Familiarisation with the flight model (Turbine C425) that will be simulated for the Skills Test such as:
- Aircraft performance data requitred for flight planning and flight
- Panel layout and use of avionics and AP
- Ground operations (Use of checklists, startup, taxi, take-off roll etc)
- Handling and performance charactistics during flight
MCC procedures during Nomal operations
MCC procedures during Non-normal and Emergency operations
General Instrument Training (to the required proficiency standard)
Training Hours and Duration
Note that there is no prescribed minumum training hours as this is heavily dependant on the previous experience of the candidate but our course is designed based on the following training hours assumed:
Approx 7.5 Hours classroom briefing time
Approx 7.5 Hours instruction on the simulator
The training is usually done over 4 to 5 training sessions over 4 to 5 days.
