With the rapidly phasing out of ground-based procedures such as NDB, VOR and even ILS, it has having a GNSS Approach endorsement on your licence has become a valueable addition to your IF Rating. We provide a comprensive training course consisting of:
Theoretical Training
This is doone at your own pace in our Computor Based Training (CBT) room and consist of five modules of roughly 1 hour per module. A mini exam (ten questions) is done at the end of each module. In addition to the audio/visual CBT material, we will also provide you with a course reference handbook for use during your theoretical training.
Upon successful completion of the theory training, you will be issued with a Completion Certificate, (If you prefer to do your practical training at some other ATO, you may use this certficate as proof of ground school completion)
Desktop Simulator Practice
To save tine in the FNPT simulator, you will be encouraged to do some 'button familiarisation' of the Garmin G430 and the G750 on our desktop simulator. (The use if this equipment is included in the cost of the theoretical training course)
Training in FNPT II Simulator
This will consist of 2 to 3 training sessions (3 hours total) consisting of:
Session 1 - General GNSS/RNAV Procedures (SID's STAR's and GNSS Approaches)
Session 2 - GNSS LOFT (ie FALE SID to FAPM GNSS with a missed approach included)
Session 3 - Test LOFT (ie FAOR SID, FAWB GNSS Missed App divert to FALA GNNS App
Endorsements
Upon successful completion, we will endorse your logbook and comlete SACAA form CA 61-11.5 for you to submit,
